Michael W. Jann, PharmD, FCCP, FCP, BCPP, is a Professor of Pharmacotherapy at the University of North Texas Health Science Center College of Pharmacy, where he has been a founding faculty member and long-standing leader in clinical pharmacy education. He received his BS in Biology from California State University, Los Angeles, his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Southern California and completed postdoctoral residency training in mental health pharmacy practice at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.
Dr Michael W. Jann has more than 25 years of experience teaching CNS pharmacotherapy and mentoring residents and fellows, and his research focuses on psychopharmacology, drug development for psychiatric and geriatric patients, and the clinical impact of drug–drug interactions on patient safety and efficacy. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and co-edited the textbook Applied Clinical Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics of Psychopharmacological Agents, and he is an active member and former officer in national professional organizations, including the American College of Clinical Pharmacology and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy.
