Dr. Alexander Bystritsky is Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and a world-renowned expert in the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety disorders. For over three decades, he directed UCLA’s Anxiety Disorders Program, pioneering advances in the management of treatment-resistant anxiety through innovative pharmacological and neuromodulation strategies. Dr. Bystritsky’s clinical and research work has focused on improving outcomes for patients with generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. He is the founder of ABCanxiety Inc., where he continues to advance novel treatments, and has served as an editor for Anxiety.org.
