Dr. Charles DeBattista is a Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine, where he directs the Stanford Depression Research Clinic and co-leads the Mood Disorders Clinics. A nationally recognized expert in the treatment of depression, Dr. DeBattista’s research focuses on advancing novel therapies for treatment-resistant depression, including pharmacologic innovations, neurostimulation techniques, and emerging therapies such as psilocybin. He is principal investigator for multiple clinical trials exploring new interventions for major depressive disorder.
Dr. DeBattista has published extensively in the fields of mood disorders and psychopharmacology and has been instrumental in shaping modern treatment algorithms for depression. In addition to his research, he has received multiple awards for excellence in medical student education and continues to mentor the next generation of psychiatrists at Stanford. |
