Dr. John R. Chamberlain is a Health Sciences Clinical Professor at UCSF specializing in forensic psychiatry and the intersection of psychiatry and the law. He serves as Associate Director of UCSF’s Program in Psychiatry and the Law, where he trains residents and fellows in forensic evaluation, risk assessment, and the psychiatric aspects of legal proceedings. Dr. Chamberlain has extensive experience consulting on complex medico-legal cases, and he recently launched the Complex Case Consultation and Conversation (C5) Series to promote interdisciplinary analysis of challenging clinical and legal scenarios. He is also Medical Staff President at Langley Porter Psychiatric Hospital and a recipient of UCSF’s Henry J. Kaiser Award for Excellence in Teaching (2024). |
