By examining genetic differences between individuals who respond well or poorly to specific medications such as lamotrigine or fluoxetine for bipolar depression, he aims to personalize treatment approaches based on patients' genetic profiles.
Dr. Frye's research has significant implications for patient care. Through genomic studies using the Mayo Clinic Individualized Medicine Biobank for Bipolar Disorder and neuroimaging studies utilizing the Mayo Clinic MRS library, he aims to uncover the underlying mechanisms of bipolar disorder.
